Last Thursday, responders from South East 4x4 Response took part in a Multi-Agency Response Event organised by Medway Council’s Emergency Planning Team on the Isle of Grain.
The event provided an opportunity for partner agencies to receive briefings on the Grain storage facilities and to learn more about the alternative access route into Grain village should an incident occur at one of the sites.
The day proved both informative and worthwhile, giving those attending a valuable insight into local emergency response arrangements and the measures in place to help maintain access to the village during an emergency.
It also provided an excellent opportunity for representatives from the various agencies to meet, share knowledge and experience, and strengthen the relationships that are so important when responding to emergencies.
